Empowering Local Businesses & Driving Inclusion

Navy Pier supports nearly 300 businesses and entrepreneurs through activations, marketplaces, and financial resources. Of these, 60% are women-owned, 57% are minority-owned, 90% are locally-owned, and 86% are small businesses, showcasing Navy Pier’s commitment to diversity and local economic growth.

Navy Pier owns usage rights in perpetuity

Community Engagement & Workforce Initiatives

Navy Pier’s Community Rides program provides over 10,000 Ferris Wheel tickets and transportation stipends annually to local schools and nonprofits, benefiting 165 organizations in 2022 and 2023. Workforce initiatives support young employees’ career development, contributing to Chicago’s economy. Staff advancement and diverse programs enhance the Pier’s cultural vibrancy, welcoming visitors from around the world.
