Our Mission is Community
Navy Pier is the People’s Pier, Chicago’s lakefront treasure, welcoming all and offering dynamic and eclectic experiences through partnerships and programs that inspire discovery and wonder.
Since it’s reopening in 1995, Navy Pier has been an integral part of Chicago culture. As a nonprofit who gives back to the community, your support makes you a steward of our over 100-year history, helping us maintain the Pier for generations to come.
Support the Pier
Since our nonprofit establishment in 2011, Navy Pier has been a mission-driven organization continually working toward providing a higher level of community impact and accessibility.
We are a nonprofit who gives back to the community we serve
Through our Community Rides program, we distribute 10,000 free attraction tickets annually. Your support helps underwrite this program as well as transportation to and from the Pier for local schools and nonprofit organizations.
We are a platform for artists and organizations, and a venue for audiences around the city.
Navy Pier offers 500+ free and ticketed events annually and engages 2,600+ local performing artists and 100+ cultural partner organizations. Support for the Pier funds thousands of opportunities for visitors, partners, and performers year-round.
We are a hub for Chicago’s local entrepreneurs and businesses.
Through seasonal Makers Markets and tenant partner relationships, your support helps us as we lift up the local economy and shine the spotlight on Chicago makers, creators, and doers.
We are stewards of Navy Pier’s over 100-year history.
Originally designed for shipping and recreational purposes, the Pier has evolved into a place made to celebrate moments and create memories that inspire, entertain, educate, and connect. Your support of Navy Pier is an investment in the legacy of a living landmark.
