Summer Skate at Navy Pier

Summer Skate is located inside the glass atrium within the Family Pavilion at Navy Pier. The event is fully indoors and accessible.

All tickets can be purchased online in advance. Limited tickets may be available onsite, but walk-ins are not guaranteed. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time to secure your spot.

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

For the General Skating times all ages are welcome to participate if their skate size is available. Ages 3 and older require a ticket purchase.

Summer Skate After Darkticket purchasers must be 21 and older for entry.

Children must be accompanied if they are unable to skate solo. Skates are not required for Adults assisting children on the rink.

Yes, guests are welcome to bring their personal skates (no rollerblades allowed). A ticket purchase is still required for entry to the Summer Skate rink.

Yes, socks must be worn at all times. Socks will be available for purchase.

Due to limited skate availability and rink capacity, access to the roller rink is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If wait times become too long to accommodate all ticket holders before closing, refunds may be issued to guests who are unable to receive skates or access the rink for a reasonable amount of time.

Yes. Your Summer Skate ticket includes same-day re-entry. You’re welcome to explore Navy Pier and return throughout the day.

Please observe the closing times listed on Navy Pier’s website as there are special events and varying closing times.

For most nights, the last ticket will be sold an hour before close with the last skates distributed 45 minutes to close. The rink must be completely cleared at the published closing time and skates returned promptly after.

No, animals are not allowed.

There are no discounts available for group purchases. We encourage groups to arrive earlier in the day to help ensure your entire party can access the rink together. Please note that the maximum number of tickets per transaction is 20.

Food and drinks are not included with your ticket or allowed within the skating rink area. A small on-site beverage cart will be available for quick refreshments. Click HERE for more Navy Pier dining options.

Unfortunately, no. While we’d love for you to celebrate your special day at Summer Skate at Navy Pier, reserved party space is not available. Please note that birthday cakes, balloons, decorations, and space reservations are not permitted.

Parking is available in the East and West garages at Navy Pier. Door 1in the West Garage is the closest access point to Summer Skate. We recommend pre-purchasing parking HERE for a faster, more seamless arrival experience.
