Shakespeare takes the spotlight as students from across Chicagoland bring bold creativity and fresh ideas to the stage at.
Chicago Shakespeare SLAM invites high school teams to perform a classic Shakespeare scene and debut a dream round, a modern, imaginative remix of Shakespeare’s language. Through workshops, rehearsals, and live performances, students build confidence, collaborate with peers, and showcase their talents on a professional stage.
We welcome students to join us for one of our student-only Open Studio dates where you will have the opportunity to dive into text work, staging, and play in community with other SLAM participants and teaching artists all at Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier.
