Stay Connected With Virtual Experiences
While Navy Pier may be closed to the public right now, our on-site partners have created awesome digital ways to stay connected and experience the Pier virtually. Here is a list of great options – from cultural attractions to fitness and more – to stay engaged and to enjoy the People’s Pier from home.
For Children, Parents & Caregivers
Chicago Children’s Museum has created an online resource of fun and educational activities for children and families at home as part of its Recipes for Play at Home campaign. Feel free to try the activities with your little ones while at home, and be sure to share your experience on social media and tag Chicago Children’s Museum.
The museum also just launched a new digital channel, Parenting Playbook. This resource provides ideas, strategies and fun from CCM to help make playtime easier for caregivers, including expert tips, at-home activities and more. Try it out at home today!
For Theater Afficionados
Stay connected to the arts through Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s brand-new online content platform Shakes @ Home, which allows theater lovers to continue engaging with the power and magic of Shakespeare until we can open our doors again.
For Happy Hour Lovers
Join Offshore for Virtual Happy Hour every evening! Simply pour yourself a drink (any cocktail of your choice), take a photo/video, and share on social media using #VirtualHappyHour. Also, tag Offshore (@drinkoffshore) and your virtual happy hour friends. Let’s keep the fun and festive spirit of the Pier alive during this difficult time. Cheers!
For Fitness Gurus
Looking for a fun at-home workout? One of Navy Pier’s cultural organization partners, Bollywood Groove, is offering online Bollywood workouts, with a free 7-day trial. The organization also provides free cultural e-learning for kids via YouTube.
