The holiday season is here, and Navy Pier is the place to be for Chicago’s largest holiday celebration, Light Up The Lake! From November 29th to January 5th, the Pier transforms with stunning light displays, axe throwing, a holiday market, a two-story tall winter ice slide, and more!

6. Fireworks & Drone Show
Enjoy five spectacular award-winning fireworks displays and two stunning drone shows for free this November and December. Gather with family and friends to witness the night sky light up in vibrant colors, creating unforgettable moments. Check out winter schedule for dates and times! For the best viewing experience, the ideal spot is on the South Dock, just west of the Wave Wall.
Also, make sure to come back to the Pier on New Year’s Eve for a special fireworks display!

7. Pier Park
Finally, all Pier Park rides will be open on weekends during Light Up The Lake! Take a ride on the Carousel, the Wave Swinger, the Tea Cups, and even the Centennial Ferris Wheel this winter! In fact, the wheel is fully enclosed and heated, so you can enjoy it even during the cold months in Chicago!
