Special performances include Muntu Dance Theatre, Khalidah’s North African Dance Experience, Inc. and S.P.I.R.T. Stilt Walkers.
Spartan DEKA is excited to introduce our new indoor challenge designed to test, gamify and celebrate fitness starting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. Spartan DEKA FIT consists of 10 functional training zones each preceded by a 500-meter run (5k of total running distance). Free entry for spectators to watch talented competitors divide and conquer the DEKA FIT Arena. Click here to purchase tickets.
Also at Navy Pier this weekend, Comedy Central is bringing the immersive South Park: 25th Anniversary Experience featuring iconic pieces of memorabilia from the show’s 25-year history to Navy Pier. The South Park: 25th Anniversary Experience is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. Explore never-before-seen scripts, memorabilia from the show’s archive, rare collectibles and much more. Inspired by the real South Park Studios storage unit where many of the items that will be on display have been held for the past 24 years, the exhibit is housed within a custom fabricated shipping container. The shipping container — which features a custom, Cartman-inspired paint job — also serves as an interactive photo opportunity, giving fans the chance to pose alongside their favorite characters against three different iconic South Park landscapes.
Note: All artists and dates are subject to change.
About Navy Pier
Located on Lake Michigan, Navy Pier is the top nonprofit tourism destination in the Midwest, stretching more than six city blocks and typically welcoming nearly 9 million annual guests. Originally opened in 1916 as a shipping and recreation facility, this Chicago landmark showcases more than 50 acres of parks, restaurants, attractions, retail shops, sightseeing and dining cruise boats, exposition facilities and more.
The Pier celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016 with the unveiling of the iconic Centennial Wheel, Polk Bros Park, Family Pavilion and Peoples Energy Welcome Pavilion. In 2021, Navy Pier continued to usher in its second century with ongoing Pier-wide redevelopment efforts—including Sable, a 223-room Hilton hotel, new restaurants and partnerships, and thrilling additions to Pier Park. The Pier is also proud to continue providing free, year-round arts and cultural programming designed to inspire, educate and connect communities across the city and globe.
