CHICAGO – Collectiv Presents, Chicago’s premier concert production company, and Navy Pier, Chicago’s iconic waterfront destination, are set to welcome music industry legend and Chicago native Green Velvet to the awe-inspiring Aon Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023. The eccentric, green Mohawk-wearing trailblazer who defined the underground electronic music scene will share the La La Land X-Mas ’23 bill with national and local House icons, including Claude VonStroke.

One of the most influential DJs and producers in electronic music, Green Velvet revolutionized the House music industry 30 years ago with the launch of Relief Records. Even today, it is difficult to go to any electronic music festival or set and not hear music from Green Velvet and Relief Records. Crowds everywhere sing along when notable hits like “Bigger than Prince,” “Flash,” “La La Land,” “Lazer Beams,” “Live Stream,” “Preacher Man”, “Shake and Pop,” “Sheeple”, “Suga,” and “Voicemail” blast across the airwaves.

Green Velvet and Dirtybird Records’ Claude VonStroke will be joined for this one-night-only electronic music spectacular by Curtis McClain, who will sing his House classic, “Move Your Body,” Chicago House singer Dajae, locally-grown DJ Heather, and DJ E-Clypse, producer, photographer, and documentarian of Music and Race in America.
