Black History Collage Creations Workshop

Black History Month Workshops hosted by Women’s Live Artist Studio (WLAS)

Celebrate Black History Month with WLAS Co-founder Dana Todd Pope. Create a meaningful mixed media collage that honors Black icons and achievements.

Age: 7+ Note: This is a timed activity with limited seating. | Artist break from 2:30PM-3PM

The Women’s LIVE Artist Studio neighbors the Children’s Museum, provides families and children with the unique opportunity to witness art and working artists in action. This is particularly valuable in breaking the stigma around museum visits, especially for communities where previous generations may not have engaged with art institutions. Now these communities can walk through Navy Pier, engage with artists, and create alongside them during the free workshops. This access to fine art thereby opens doors to new experiences.
