Where is Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest located, and what’s the easiest way to get there?

Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest takes place in Festival Hall, Navy Pier’s 170,000 square foot event space located near the Pier’s east end. The entrance to the festival is located just inside Entrance 2, Navy Pier’s easternmost vehicle turnaround and public entrance. Though the festival is easily accessible from anywhere on the Pier, guests who wish to minimize walking are encouraged to drive and park in the East garage, or get dropped off at Entrance 2. 

Where is the best place to park?

Navy Pier has more than 1,500 indoor parking spaces in our East and West covered parking garages. The East Garage is closest to Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest. If available, we suggest parking in the East Garage on Navy Pier. Learn more about parking options here.

What are the dates of the festival?

The 18th annual Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is located in Festival Hall and runs from November 30, 2018 to January 6, 2019 (closed on Christmas Day, December 25, 2018).

What are the hours of the festival?

My child has special sensory needs. Will there be sensory friendly hours at Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest?

This December, Navy Pier is taking two big steps to better serve guests with diverse needs. On December 1, Navy Pier will launch Sensory Friendly Navy Pier, a new mobile app designed exclusively for children with special sensory needs—especially children with autism—and their families. Developed by subject matter experts at Infiniteach, this new tool will allow children and adults alike to plan their visit and navigate the Pier in accordance with their family’s special needs.

In conjunction with the release of Sensory Friendly Navy Pier, Navy Pier will also offer sensory friendly hours at Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest on Monday, December 10 from 3pm-5pm. During these hours, guests can expect a tailored event experience that will include diminished noise and lights, special signage, and more.

What are the best times to visit Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest?

Anytime is a good time to visit Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest. To avoid crowds, we recommend visiting on weekdays and on weekend mornings.

Is Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest open Christmas day?

Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is not open Christmas Day. However, the festival is open Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

How late will Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest be open on New Year’s Eve?

Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is a great place to celebrate the new year! Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is open on December 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Navy Pier’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks are at Midnight.

Yes, Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is open January 1, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

How much are tickets to Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest?

All attendees 36″ inches and up must have a paid ticket to enter Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest. Children under 36″ inches will be provided with a free infant wristband at the box office. Who needs a ticket?

All attendees 36 inches and up must have a paid ticket. Children under 36 inches will be provided with a free infant wristband at the box office. Children under 36 inches may not enter or skate on the ice skating rink without a paid Junior Pass. Any guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a valid government-issued ID and paid ticket to enter.

Can I combine one discount with another?

No, Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest discounts cannot be combined.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

No. Although you may purchase tickets online prior to your arrival, tickets are also available for purchase at the festival box office.

Bring a screen shot of the message that appeared on your computer and your credit card to the Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest box office. We will honor all online discounts and get you the wristband you tried to purchase.

Yes, Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is wheelchair accessible.

Coat Check, Lockers, Rentals, and Permitted Items Policies

Is there a coat check and/or bag check at Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest?

Yes, coat check is located near the main entrance to Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest for a cost of $4 per coat. Sorry, coat check cannot accept any valuables such as purses, cameras, book bags, etc. Bag check is not available. However, lockers are available near the ice skating rink for a fee.

Please note that all bags are subject to inspection.

Do you have lockers?

Yes; a limited number of lockers will be located near the ice skating rink. Lockers can be rented with a credit card.

Can I ice skate with my purse/bag/camera case/etc.?

No. For your safety, you may not skate with any personal item. For a fee, a limited number of lockers are available near the ice skating rink to store these personal items while you skate.

Please note that all bags are subject to inspection.

Are there strollers and wheelchairs available for rental?

Strollers are not available for rent at Navy Pier. Wheelchairs are available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis in two locations: at coat check near the Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest box office and at the main Guest Services desk located in the Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion at the west end of the Pier. A valid state or military ID must be left in exchange for the wheelchair.

Is there stroller parking inside Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest?

Due to the amount of activity space, there is no designated location for strollers.

Is there someone to watch my child(ren)’s shoes or coat while they are participating in the activities?

No, parents and/or chaperones are responsible for all personal belongings. Navy Pier staff is only responsible for the operations of the rides and attractions within Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest. Navy Pier does not reimburse for personal items that were not left in our possession. i.e., ice skate rental.
