Explore things to do at Navy Pier
From recreation to relaxation & entertainment to education, Navy Pier offers activities & experiences for all.
Navy Pier is one of the best spots for Chicagoland families, but did you know it’s also great for teenagers? Grab your gang and head to the Pier for a fun after-school destination or weekend plan.
Snap an Instagram-worthy selfie at the Pier’s many photogenic spots, including the Centennial Wheel, Odyssey Cruise, Crystal Gardens and the top of the West Garage.
Teenagers love delicious food like pizza, tacos and ice cream (who doesn’t?!). Navy Pier offers a variety of spots to grab a delicious bite. Try a tasty cheeseburger at Billy Goat Tavern, Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza at Giordano’s, Chicago style hot dogs from America’s Dog & Burger, and cap it off with a sweet ice cream cone from Ben & Jerry’s.
Teens can unwind and have fun after a day at school at Pier Park! Pier Park attractions include the Centennial Wheel, Pepsi Wave Swinger, carousel and more. The Wheel is also climate-controlled and year-round so it’s great any time of year!
Your teen can use Navy Pier as their launch pad for exploring all of the city! Whether it’s by land, water or air, departing tours from the Pier are available for guests, including Chicago Big Bus Tours, Vertiport Helicopter Tours and a variety of Architecture River Tours. Teens may also rent bicycles for self-guided exploration on the lakefront.
Navy Pier and the Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion have taken the art of shopping in Chicago to the next level. Teens can purchase souvenirs and apparel at Chicago Sport & Novelty, Navy Pier Store, the Neighborhood Urban Gift Shop and more.
