Explore things to do at Navy Pier
From recreation to relaxation & entertainment to education, Navy Pier offers activities & experiences for all.
Chicago Children’s Museum just debuted a new free outdoor exhibit of installations this week to help you and your family play and engage in Navy Pier’s outdoor spaces. Play Never Stops will prompt you to learn and play while maintaining social distancing at the Pier. Read here to learn more about the exhibits and other ways you can enjoy the Pier with your family!
About Play Never Stops
The exhibits range from movement obstacle courses and poem paths to stand-in place games and conversation starters, making it dynamic and exciting for many ages. The installations also make the most of Chicago’s current guidance to remain socially distance, masked and outdoors to keep you and your family safe.
Why Play Now?
Play is an important part of having a healthy and happy life! Even more, play is especially needed during times of stress. We hope you will visit the Play Never Stops installations to help your children explore their thoughts and feelings, activate their muscles, engage their minds and find joy.
Location & Dining
The Play Never Stops exhibits are in many outdoor locations throughout the Pier, including the South Dock, Polk Bros Park and Pier Park walkways.
After exploring and playing, we suggest grabbing a bite to eat at one of the South Dock dining establishments like McDonald’s, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and more.
The playful exhibits from CCM complement our robust lineup of free summer programming, including free events and programs in music, dance, fitness and festivals all season long. Click here to see the full calendar of events to plan your visit and add more to do to your itinerary at the Pier!
