Navy Pier Will Adhere to City of Chicago’s Revised Covid Protocols

Please be aware that the content on this webpage was authored more than 6 months ago, so some information may be outdated or no longer accurate. Please visit our event calendar for information on current events.

CHICAGO—Adhering to the revised protocols established by the City of Chicago, effective January 3, 2022, Navy Pier will require anyone over age 5 who dines indoors—including at all food court areas or in sit-down bars and restaurants—to show proof of vaccination. Anyone over age 16 must also provide identification. Navy Pier will limit entry points into its facilities to help ensure each guest is properly screened. As required by the city, all guests over age 2 must wear a face mask that covers both mouth and nose while indoors, except while actively eating and drinking.

Signage in the garages and on the North and South docks will direct guests to the nearest open entryways and checkpoints. Restaurants with their own outdoor-facing doorways will also monitor their doors.

All food-court seating areas in the Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion will be roped off. Guests who want to sit in those spaces will be required to show proof of full vaccination at checkpoints at the entrances to those areas. Guests ordering food for takeout will not need to show vaccination status.

All staff members of Navy Pier must demonstrate proof of vaccination or submit to weekly covid testing with a negative result. Staff whose duties allow them to work from home will be encouraged to do so.

Per Navy Pier’s Youth Escort Policy, anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a legal adult guardian, with documented proof, to gain entrance to Navy Pier after 5 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and designated holidays. Guardian must be present for the duration of the visit.

Navy Pier will slightly adjust its open hours to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
