Pi Day: Free Rides on Navy Pier’s Centennial Wheel

In honor of Pi Day, Chicago’s mission-driven cultural district is extending free rides on the iconic Centennial Wheel on Wednesday, March 14 to the first 3,140 registrants. Those interested in taking advantage of the free ride offer must RSVP online in advance and present their free reservation ticket at the Pier Park Box Office. A limited amount of free tickets are available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. The free rides are part of the Pier’s #WheelWednesday series, an initiative to make the attraction available and accessible to all by offering the community complimentary rides on select Wednesdays periodically throughout the year.

In addition, Navy Pier is offering discounted Centennial Wheel rates to Illinois residents every Monday between November 1 and March 31. To redeem the discounted ticket, guests must present a valid Illinois ID at the Pier Park Box Office.

The iconic 200-foot-tall Centennial Wheel features enclosed and temperature-controlled gondolas with an entertainment system and video screens, offering guests unparalleled views of the city and lake and comfortable rides all year round.

*Tickets for this event are limited. Must present valid Eventbrite ticket at the Pier Park Box Office to ride for free. Limit one free ride ticket per person. Additional tickets are available for purchase online and at the Pier Park box office. Ticket valid on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, only, during normal operating hours. The Centennial Wheel operates rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, the Centennial Wheel may close temporarily for the safety of our guests and our Pier Park staff. In the event of severely inclement weather conditions, please see twitter.com/navypier for operational updates. Navy Pier reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.
