Water Colors: NextGenJazz

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free and open to the public! Water Colors opens with a performance featuring the next generation of Chicago jazz musicians, with Joe Powers, Jeremiah Collier and others.  This concert is presented as a part of the closing performance of Fresh Fest! Chicago Youth Music & Performance Showcase. NextGenJazz provides audiences an opportunity to hear talented, emerging Chicago jazz artists hone their craft.

About NextGenJazz

The NextGenJazz Emerging Artists Project promotes leadership, creativity, and a foundation for self-marketing for members of Jazz Links Student Council; a program for students to develop musically and professionally through exposure to live music, workshops with professional musicians and performance opportunities throughout the city.

About Water Colors

A live jazz music series presented in partnership with the Jazz Institute of Chicago, plus other special guest performers, in Polk Bros Park Performance Lawns Lake Stage. Series celebrates the 100 years of jazz in Chicago, with programs paying tribute the range of eras and movements of Chicago jazz.
