Hunter Diamond Performs a Tribute to Vince Guaraldi

Hunter Diamond is a saxophonist and creative musician living and performing in Chicago, IL. Through his compositions and improvisations, he maintains a consistent presence in the local creative music community.
In 2017, Hunter was selected as a from a city-wide pool of applicants for the Luminarts Foundation’s jazz improvisation competition. After performing for a panel of judges including the late Willie Pickens, Hunter was chosen as one of five recipients of the Luminarts Jazz Fellowship. With this initial award and continued grant support, the Luminarts Foundation made possible many of Hunter’s artistic goals, including a west-coast tour with Black Diamond in the spring of 2017. Presented by Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, Sequence Ch!cago is a free performance series celebrating local artists, musicians and cultural organizations and showcasing their works. Navy Pier will display Chicago’s diverse arts scene over the course of 9 dates this fall and winter. All performances are free and open to the public.
