Navy Band Great Lakes Wind Ensemble Independence Day Tribute Concert

Free and open to the public! Chicago’s most spectacular summer holiday tradition returns with an extra day of celebration of our nation’s independence.  On July 3rd, Navy Pier will proudly present the “Navy Band Great Lakes Wind Ensemble Independence Day Tribute Concert” in Polk Bros Performance Lawn, Lake Stage.  

About the Ensemble

Comprised of 45 professional musicians, the Navy Band Great Lakes Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Lieutenant Patrick Hill, continues the legacy of bandmaster Lieutenant Commander John Philip Sousa, spreading the tradition of military music throughout the Midwest. The Wind Ensemble’s repertoire consists of symphonic band works, patriotic music, Americana, and featured solo vocal and instrumental selections.
