Navy Pier is a Chicago tradition. It’s one of the few places in Chicago that you must visit when in the Windy City! What makes Navy Pier such a Chicago tradition is its unique way of merging Chicago dining, shopping and entertainment in just one location.

If you’re at the Pier and looking for traditional Chicago flavors then Navy Pier has perfect dining for you! Start off at the beginning of Navy Pier by stopping by Harry Carry’s. The extensive menu and the Chicago sports memorabilia will make you feel as though you are dining in a real Chicago sports museum. Another great dining option is Billy Goat Tavern; this hotspot is located right on the Pier! Billy Goat Tavern famous for it’s curse on the Chicago Cubs has been around since 1934! The Billy Goat Tavern is considered a Chicago landmark a must see location.

Although this may not be the original, it provides same quality food and a distinctive atmosphere. If you’re not looking for the traditional sit down but are looking to have a traditional Chicago food, then you must go in search of pizza.

Right inside the food court you will find Connie’s Pizza. Connie’s Pizza, a Chicago tradition since 1963 offers fresh and true Chicago style pizza. Connie’s Pizza is a great option for those who are looking for on-the-go-meal and are looking to have their first bite into the famous deep-dish pizza.


Before leaving the Pier there are two things you should definitely consider. One is taking a tour on Shoreline Sightseeing Cruises. They offer a variety of different cruises that take you along the lake and through the Chicago River. They depart daily from Navy Pier and offer a unique perspective and insightful information about Chicago! Next, you must stop by Garrett Popcorn for their famous Chicago Mix. This blend of Caramel Crisp and Cheese Corn will make feel like a true Chicagoan.
