You’re invited to Lobster Fest at Navy Pier, the Midwest’s largest Lobster and Seafood Festival, Labor Day Weekend from September 1- September 3, 2017. Enjoy live lobster flown in fresh from the cold waters of the East Coast, live music performances, family-friendly games and activities, unique craft shopping, land food options, and cold beverages. What’s not to love!?



Watch a Free Jazz Concert  

Join the Chicago Jazz Orchestra as they perform the enduring music of the big band era on August 31, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Lake Stage in the Polk Bros Park Performance Lawn. The Chicago Jazz Orchestra, featuring guitarist Henry Johnson and keyboardist Dan Trudell, performs great big band music recorded by Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Ray Charles, and others. With the exciting sounds of the solo guitar, the Hammond B-3 organ and the 16-piece CJO, this performance promises to showcase the world-class jazz talent of the CJO while honoring the legacy of these jazz greats.

Bring the Kids to Enjoy Free Public Art

Roger Hiorns’ interactive sculpture in Polk Bros Park, “A retrospective view of the pathway,” erupts every Monday – Friday at noon every Saturday and Sunday at noon and 4 p.m through October 1, 2017. 

Enjoy Weekday Happy Hour Specials at Navy Pier 

Before beer garden season comes to an end, be sure to head over to The Miller Lite Beer Garden on Navy Pier’s east end for one of  Chicago’s best happy hours. Specials include $3 Miller Lite drafts and $8 Golden Shrimp Baskets (Mondays); $3 Coors Light drafts and $6 Ginormous Brats (Tuesdays); $5.50 Blue Moon Belgium Whites and $4.50 Chicago Dogs (Wednesdays); $5 Leinenkugel Summer Shandy drafts and $6.50 Cheeseburgers (Thursdays); and $5 Leinenkugel Grapefruit Shandy drafts and $6.50 Supreme Nachos (Fridays). Enjoy the Last Aon Summer Fireworks Show

 The Aon Summer Fireworks—a Chicago fireworks tradition displaying over Lake Michigan twice per week at Navy Pier—comes to an end this weekend. If you have not had a chance to experience the fireworks show at Navy Pier, now’s the time to plan your visit to the Pier! If you’ve already seem them, come again for one last memorable show.  

Celebrate Family Fun Month

August is coming to an end, but you can still enjoy Family Fun Month at the People’s Pier. Check out our daily events schedule for a full list of happenings at Navy Pier, including events at Chicago Children’s Museum, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and more. Don’t forget to visit Pier Park for a spin on the Centennial Wheel, the Pepsi Wave Swinger, and other attractions for the whole family. Question: Can you pleasure share your experience at Navy Pier with us?

Mike: The Pier was amazing! We came to Chicago to visit my aunty for 2 weeks and we really love the city and Navy Pier! Our son was in love with the kids attractions and for sure we are coming back next year!

Question: Is there something that stuck out to you about Navy Pier?

Mike: The gorgeous view from the Centennial Wheel and the variety of food to taste.
