Looking for a great way to spend time with the family and experience a little theater? Come to Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s production of Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet.

Running February 23 through March 23, this short performance, directed and adapted for the CST stage by Rachel Rockwell, is the perfect way to start off your day! Performed every Saturday at 11 a.m. in Chicago Shakespeare’s Courtyard Theater, this version of Romeo and Juliet clocks in at 75 minutes (without intermission) and gives you an abbreviated experience of one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies.

You probably know the story of Romeo and Juliet, one of literature’s most famous couples. In the heartbreaking tale, Romeo and Juliet meet at a party, fall in love, and, because of bad blood between their families, must keep their romance a secret. After several turns of events, Romeo gets banished from the couple’s town and the two star-crossed lovers hatch a plan to get back together again … but things don’t quite turn out as planned.

Tickets to Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet are priced from $16-20 and all patrons receive 40% off guaranteed parking in the Navy Pier Garage. Plus stick around for a 15 minute post-show discussion after each performance to learn even more about the show!
