Power to the Pinot

February 17, 2015

Wine lovers and red wine connoisseurs, rejoice!  Pinot Days Chicago, the biggest pinot noir tasting in the world, returns to Navy Pier on Saturday, March 21.  Enjoy fine wine in the intimate setting of Lakeview Terrace, complete with city and skyline views.

The ticketed public tasting takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and showcases more than 60 producers of pinot noir. Ready your taste buds to sample up to 150 pinots from every pinot noir region, with the winemakers on hand to guide you. If you fall in love with a wine, you can purchase it at the event and it’ll be shipped safely to your wine rack at home.

If you attend Pinot Days, you’ll be among other pinot noir enthusiasts and producers that truly enjoy a sophisticated wine. Let’s just say, it’ll be a glass half-full kind of weekend. The greatest asset of Pinot is its stylistic diversity; at Pinot Days, you’ll be able to taste-test wine from many different regions and winemakers. Let’s not forget there’ll be tasty food pairings to complement the grapes in your glass. Bring your friends and make your time as fine as the wine.

Besides the public tasting, VIP and early access tickets are also available for purchase.

It only costs $75.00 to enjoy the grand festival and $125.00 to enjoy a VIP tasting as well as a Pinot seminar. Don’t like the crowds? You can purchase the Grand Festival Early Entry ticket, which entitles you to Early Grand Festival Entrance at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 (one hour before the general public). You will be able to drink in a more intimate setting with fewer people; also, the $30 additional fee may be applied to the purchase of pinots being offered by a selected group of producers.

Pinot Days Chicago will limited to about 1,000 attendees so be sure to get your ticket in advance online. Hope to see you there!
