NYE 2013 at the Restaurants of the Pier!

December 24, 2012

Some people love big New Year’s Eve parties with all the bells and whistles: an open bar, live music, a huge dance floor, and a dress code. Other people like a quiet evening at home with the TV tuned into the hubbub at Times Square.

If you’re looking for something in the middle or for something more special than your normal NYE 2013  plans (yes, we’re looking at all of you who usually stay in), come discover your happy medium at Navy Pier! Our restaurants can serve you up an elegant, intimate, and low-key evening whether you’re bringing the whole gang or just a special someone.

Discover a little piece of paradise in the middle of the city at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Bar & Grill. Head to the bar and order something tasty like the Havanas and Bananas (Cruzan Aged Dark Rum, Baileys Irish Cream, Bols Crème de Banana, and Island Oasis Coconut mix) or one of Margaritaville’s legendary namesake drinks like the Uptown Margarita. If you’re looking for some real island flavor, order the Jerk Chicken or Coconut Shrimp, and don’t skimp on dessert; there’s a piece of Key Lime Pie with your name on it!

Or spend your New Year’s Eve at the legendary Harry Caray’s Tavern! You can’t beat Harry Caray’s bar fare—Soft Pretzel Sticks with an aged cheddar cheese sauce, Harry’s Stadium Nachos, Chicken Tenders—or their Burgers and Oven-Fired Pizzas. And don’t feel shy ordering a Signature Cocktail or two (especially if you even things out with a Skinny Cocktail).

For a fine dining experience, make reservations at Riva Crab House where surf and/or turf is the house specialty! Go ahead and treat yourself to that Whole Maine Lobster or that New York Strip you’ve been dreaming of— after all, New Year’s Eve comes but once a year! Riva’s has a terrific selection of beers and wines; order by the glass or the bottle if you’re feeling extra fancy. And don’t forget that nothing pairs better with the stroke of midnight than a glass of champagne.

After, or during, all your wining and dining, don’t forget about the Pier’s fireworks displays! The first show starts at 7 p.m. and the second at midnight and both will definitely leave you more than a little awestruck.
