Navy Pier Fitness: Spring into Action

When you think Navy Pier, what comes to mind? Maybe shops, big boats, and of course, the Centennial Wheel. But did you know Navy Pier offers free yoga and fitness classes? Oh yeah, you heard that right….FREE! All throughout the month of May, we are holding classes of all kinds with different themes to switch up your workout.

There are a wide variety of classes and times so there is sure to be something for everyone.

We have a variety of Movement Classes Presented by Fitness Formulas Clubs that include Zumba, WERQ, FitKick, and Bolly X. These are fun, heart pounding exercises done right on the pier! Goodbye boring gym views and TVs. Hello beautiful Lake Michigan! All you will need to bring for these classes are gym shoes, a water bottle and some good vibes. Our professional instructors will take care of the rest.

Zumba: A fusion of Latin/international rhythms and movements that get you dancing and sweating. The instructors will use interval training, which mixes fast paced dancing with slower rhythms.

WERQ: A dance cardio workout featuring current pop, rock and hip hop hits. If you love shows like “So You Think You Can Dance” or “America’s Best Dance Crew” then this is class for you!

FitKick: A heart pounding exercise that mixes traditional boxing and kickboxing with no body contact!

Bolly X: Bollywood inspired dance cardio with music from around the world. Get ready to get moving in this fun hip swinging workout class!

Finally, for all the yogis out there, we have plenty of classes.  Join us all May for the VibeUP Yoga Series. Each class has a different theme. Classes range from Zen, to Creative Core, and even a special Mother’s Day edition. With so many options, it’s nearly impossible to get tired of this series. These classes range from first timers to old pros and every one in between. Grab your mat, a towel and a bottle of water and head to the Lakeview Terrace.
