Ready to get your spook on? From trick-or-treating to fireworks, Navy Pier is your haunted headquarters for two weekends this Halloween, Oct. 22-23 and Oct. 28-31.
Grab your family, friends and scariest – or kookiest – costume for nonstop free activities and surprises lurking around every corner. Navy Pier will also host a few adults-only ticketed events, which are sure to be a nightmarish nights out.
Halloween festivities kick off with a special screening of “Hotel Transylvania” on Saturday, Oct. 22. Bring your own chair or blanket and enjoy the old-school frightening flick at 6 p.m. at Polk Bros. Park.
Navy Pier will also participate in The Halloween Gathering Spectacle Parade, sponsored by the The Chicago Cultural Mile, from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. This colorful event brings together some of the city’s top cultural organizations and artists for a march along Columbus Drive from Balbo Street to Monroe Street.
But that’s just the beginning. Other highlights include a haunted maze, trick-or-treating and speciality Lake Michigan cruises. See the full schedule here.
Trick-or-treat along Navy Pier with a stampable “passport” and redeem it for a prize. Trick-or-treating will take place on Sunday, Oct. 23, Sunday, Oct. 30 and Monday, Oct. 31 from noon to 4 p.m.
Navy Pier’s funhouse maze gets a monstrous twist this holiday. On select nights, explore 4,000 square feet of terrifying tunnels and mazes during Amazing Chicago’s Haunted Maze. The Haunted Maze will be open from 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28; 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29; 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30; and 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. Admission is $15 per person.
Show off your most creative costumes and terrifying transformations during a family-friendly costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 29. Head to the Family Pavilion to register at 4 p.m., or watch the contest beginning at 5 p.m.
Enjoy a Navy Pier classic with a creepy twist. A special Halloween Fireworks display will take place Saturday, Oct. 29 at 9:30 p.m.
