The Fourth of July is almost here and you’re in the best city in the world for celebrating: Chicago! Last year’s big Windy City Independence Day celebration was pretty spectacular, but we’ve gotten the inside scoop that this year’s festivities, including everyone’s favorite fireworks display at Navy Pier, will be bigger and better than ever before!
Are you joining us for the holiday this year? Here are a few Pier favorites definitely worth getting excited about:
The Navy Pier Ferris wheel
Visitors come from near and far to experience our world-class Ferris wheel. It really is something. Enjoy a seven-minute ride and a spectacular view of the city from 150-feet up—you’ll definitely want to bring your camera along! And who knows, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to snag a seat during the patriotic fireworks show!
Navy Pier’s valiant fleet sails all year long, but one of the best nights to cruise has to be the Fourth of July!
Buy a ticket aboard Shoreline Sightseeing, offering four different fireworks cruises that are absolutely perfect for the entire family. Or add a little touch of upscale to your evening with Odyssey Chicago. Wine and dine and then hit the dance floor before the night’s big show! And we can’t forget about the Mystic Blue, another boat with a perfect fireworks view, an awesome dinner buffet, and a dance floor that’s itching to be used!
Dining at Navy Pier
No visit to Navy Pier is complete without a little dinner! Bring the family to Bubba Gump’s for a casual and tasty meal everyone will enjoy; after all, who could ever say no to a couple orders of the Best Ever Popcorn Shrimp?! Or if you’ve turned the holiday into date night, head to Riva Crab House. If you were smart, you reserved one of Riva’s window-side tables early—they have the best view of the fireworks after all! But if not, don’t worry! Riva’s dining staff will find a table for you along with your favorite bottle of wine.
And now for the Grand Finale!
The main attraction of every fan’s visit to Navy Pier is the grand fireworks show presented by the Illinois Lottery’s 4th of July raffle ticket. We can’t wait to rep the red, white, and blue when the show kicks off—see you at 9:30 p.m.!
