Discover toys, games, and play like never before at Navy Pier this November! ChiTAG (pronounced SHY-Tag, for the uninitiated) celebrates innovation and play, bringing together game and toy entrepreneurs to the public and media with “Chicago Toy & Game Week,” running from November 20th through the 23rd. This unique experience offers an in-depth look at the toy and game industry. Do you want to see and experience the “Next Big Thing” in toys and games? Are you a designer who has a great idea you want to share? Learn and network at any one (or many) of our five events for the week:   The Play CHIC Fashion Show It’s fun-way on the runway at the 3rd annual PlayCHIC Fashion Show. This event combines haute couture fashion with playful toy and game brands, redefining what it means to play “dress up.” Do any of you fashionistas want to learn more? Be sure to read about PlayCHIC’s famous brands and sponsors on display, their celebrity board members, and some of the amazing designers who’ve participated in the past and mark off November 20 in your calendars! The Toy and Game Inventor (TAGIE) Awards On November 21, the 2014 TAGIE Awards will honor the best in toy and game design from around the world! Join industry leaders, designers, manufacturers, and retailers in the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom from 6 – 11 PM for a sophisticated yet playful evening of celebration and networking as they toast some of the most innovative leaders and inventors in the industry. The Toy & Game Innovation Conference Interested in a career in the Toy and Game industry? Perfect your elevator pitch in time for T&GCon, the Toy & Game Innovation Conference at Navy Pier from November 20– 21. Whether you’re a new inventor who wants to get valuable feedback on a design, a PR pro looking to meet and greet industry experts, or a retailer who wants to network with wholesalers and distributors, this event will provide crucial toy and game industry knowledge that can help your business. Register here! The Young Inventor Challenge An incredible idea or invention can come from anyone at any age, not just adults! Judged between two age sets (6-11 for junior, 12 – 18 for senior), The Young Inventor Challenge gives children and young adults the chance to showcase their own unique toy and game creations before a panel of judges and members of the media. Prizes include a private dinner between the winner, their parents, and a leading toy industry expert, a VIP tour given by Bruce Lund of the Chicago workshop and offices of Lund and Company Invention LLC, and a trip for two to New York City for the New York Toy Fair. Come celebrate the event’s three I’s (Imagine, Inspire, Innovate) on Saturday, November 22nd from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall A! The Chicago Toy and Game Fair Experience exciting new toys and games from around the world at the ChiTAG Fair!
