CHICAGO – February 14 not only is Valentine’s Day; it’s also National Ferris Wheel Day! To celebrate, Navy Pier, Chicago’s mission-driven cultural district, is offering ‘wheel fun’ for everyone – couples and singles, alike – including complimentary Centennial Wheel rides to pre-registered guests on Wednesday, February 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Take your Valentine for a romantic ride aboard the city’s beloved attraction, which features enclosed and heated gondolas and picturesque views of the majestic skyline and lake from 200 feet above ground.
The free rides are part of the Pier’s #WheelWednesday series, an initiative to make the attraction available and accessible to all by offering the community complimentary rides on select Wednesdays periodically throughout the year. Those interested in taking advantage of the free Centennial Wheel ride offer must RSVP online in advance and present their reservation ticket at the Pier Park Box Office. A limited amount of free tickets are available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
No Valentine? No problem. Navy Pier has teamed up with Entertainment Cruises to host Spinning with Singles, a special Valentine’s Day mixer for singles ages 21 and over on February 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Centennial Wheel and aboard the private yacht, Chicago Elite. Singles are invited to mix and mingle with other singles at this one-of-a-kind dating event in hopes of forging a love connection.
Tickets to Spinning with Singles are $50 per person and include an exclusive ride experience on Chicago’s treasured icon, access to the dazzling triple-deck private yacht, food, open bar, and of course, the opportunity to potentially make a romantic connection. Interested individuals must register online. Save $10 with early bird tickets, available until February 5. Space is limited and registration will be closed upon reaching capacity.
